Alternatives to get home:

Take the train to Romanshorn and from there on proceed to the train stop near home, arriving 20 minutes later
Take the train to Kreuzlingen main station and hope that there’s a taxi around. Otherwise, walk home, which takes 20 minutes

The first option guarantees that I don’t have to walk very far. With the second one, I can potentially save 15 minutes, but the worst case is that I have to walk 20 minutes in the cold.

I’m guessing it might be drugs. The tray was left empty intentionally. You have to ask them for “bread” and make the air quotes, and they’ll sell you dope. It’s a code word.

That explains all those unnecessary quotation marks!

I get a notification that I missed a call and tap the number.

“WTF? Didn’t I just tap it? And let’s not mention it’s the only link in the message.”

“Yes, I’m sure I want to call my brother back.”

“Didn’t I just say I want to make a call? Why do I have to tap “Call” again?”

Yes, it’s four taps from seeing the number in the message to actually making a call. Okay, it’s better than back in the days where I would have either memorize the number or write it down but still.

You might say it’s just one insignificant little thing, but it bugs me. A lot. My Hero is full of those insignificant little things that bugs me (don’t get me started on the browser). All those insignificant little things combined makes using the phone a rather messy experience.

Maybe it’s just HTC’s customization and vanilla Android’s SMS/dialer apps are saner.
